Wireless Communication, Power, and Runtime in the Sensor Node

Data transmission

Bluetooth Low Energy for high sampling rates and multi-node networks over short distances (up to 100 nodes per coreGATE, up to 1,000 SPS per channel, range 10 to 50 m). LTE-M or NB-IoT for direct, infrastructure-free connectivity to the cloud (up to 1 PLC). Wired via RS485, CAN, or IO-Link where wireless communication is not required.

Power Supply

Depending on the installation situation, power is supplied by a battery, a rechargeable battery, an inductive power source, or energy harvesting (solar). Operating time ranges from several months to years, depending on the sampling rate and transmission interval.

Data Storage

Measurement values are temporarily stored in the sensor node; even without a continuous connection, no data is lost. Permanent data storage is available as an option on an SSD in the gateway.

Data Analysis

The live data is filtered and analyzed in the sensor node, gateway, or in the cloud to trigger defined events or generate alerts in the dashboard or via email.

The modular system is available in various OEM versions, which we’ll review in detail with you. The electronics are integrated into your product and marketed under your brand. With pre-certified modules and our support, the effort involved remains manageable—but you should keep in mind from the start that this will result in a product of your own.

Custom

DMS MEASURING AMPLIFIER

Haehne DMX

Haehne is a specialist in analog measuring amplifiers and strain gauge-based force measurement technology. Together, we have added telemetry, mobile app and cloud to the classic DMX – as “powered by core sensing”.

STRAIN SENSORS

Delfa Stretch Systems (DST)

delfasys connects its strain sensors directly to coreLIME via the digital I²C interface – as a mobile data logger and for live visualization on mobile devices. Designed for harsh environments, with IP68 protection.

FORCE MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY

Primosensor

At Primosensor, we have connected a force measuring pin to coreLIME in order to be able to access the measurement data directly – outside the regular control chain. Initially an individual case for support purposes, with significantly more potential: in principle, all Primosensor sensors are compatible with core sensing telemetry.

PRESSURE & FLOW

MABE Smart Control

For MABE’s compressed air monitoring, we integrated a pressure sensor from TE and flow sensors from Keyence into the system via coreMOBILE and coreGATE – with continuous display of the measured values in the cloud.
