coreIN

The force-fit press-fitting process of the coreIN deformation body applied with strain gauges is unique on the market. The press-fit, i.e. the connection between the mechanical component and coreIN, is carried out at core sensing, and the process can be set up at the customer’s premises if the number of OEM products increases.

The strain gages are applied to the compact geometry of the coreIN deformation bodies. This ensures that the right tools and fixtures are available for high-quality application. All coreIN sensors are fitted with strain gages by hot application.

The installation space required for the individual components varies depending on the available internal diameter. The exact installation space analysis should be discussed during an orientation call. To give you a first impression, here are a few basic data:

  1. Internal diameter 14 mm to 100 mm
  2. coreIN length approx. 30 mm
  3. Standard measuring electronics length approx. 50 mm
With smaller diameters, the axially required installation space is longer; as the diameter increases, the individual components can be positioned one inside the other.

Data is usually transmitted via Bluetooth Low Energy. If the sensor is not a rotating or moving component, a wired solution can also be advantageous.

The standard power supply we select is a rechargeable Li-ion battery with the highest capacity the installation space allows. For higher temperatures or permanent measuring tasks, a battery or inductive power supply can also be chosen.

There is a conflict of objectives between maximizing the available data and energy efficiency. The sensor can therefore be configured individually. Additional sensors for speed, acceleration and temperature are available as standard. The maximum transmission rate is 1,000 SpS.

There are many ways to obtain measurement data. The following interfaces are particularly suitable for coreIN sensors that also use measuring electronics from core sensing:

  1. coreVIEWER app for visualizing and recording the data
  2. coreGATE gateway for 0–10V, USB, CANBUS, TCP/IP, MQTT
  3. coreCLOUD dashboard for visualization in the cloud
  4. Documented API for BLE signals

Due to their position inside the component, coreIN sensors are inherently well-protected. Depending on the application, a high protection class for challenging environments can be achieved through potting.

coreIN sensors are ideally suited for obtaining measurement data from a mechanically unchanged environment. However, the technology is also ideal for OEM products and series production.
